This transforming robot was based on transformers toys. I had played a lot with Transformers toys in the past and desired to make my own design. The concept of pieces held together by elastic was inspired by some transforming wood toys that I had seen on the internet. before making this design I had experimented with making robots figures similar in concept out of cardboard and rubber bands.
